About Newcastle Eagles
The Newcastle Eagles are a professional basketball team based in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. They play in the top-tier British Basketball League (BBL) and are the most successful team in the league's history. Since their move to the city in 1995 and the establishment of the "Eagles" brand in 1996, they have won an impressive total of 27 trophies. This includes multiple BBL Championships, with titles in 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2014, and 2015. They have also achieved success in the BBL Cup.
The team plays their home games at the Vertu Motors Arena. The Eagles have a strong presence in the Newcastle community and have gained recognition through various partnerships and collaborations, including with Newcastle International Airport.
